The birth of this formula was in Austria during the eighteenth century
Saxon-Austrian empires. The Konrads were woodworkers. They built
windmills, carriages and furniture.
To preserve all this wood from the invasion of mold, termites and natural
destruction, CONRADS OIL was used. The natural soul and beauty of the
wood was renewed.
My grandfather and great-grandfather immigrated to Detroit, Michigan U.S.A. in 1903.
They Americanized their name to CONRAD. They brought the formula with
them. This formula has been passed on from family member to member
for over 200 years. It is marvelous for all wood: paneling, floors, furniture and antiques.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Apply WOOD FOOD OIL liberally with a soft cloth, brush or a spray
bottle, depending on the item, and allow to set overnight.
2. Wipe off with a slightly damp cloth and then dry wipe. Do this at least
twice a year, ( after heat is turned on and off). More often is preferred.
ANTIQUE WOOD CARE
Follow the above directions except initially apply the oil twice in a one
month period. Cracks, checks and warps will gradually disappear. Allow
1 day for each year of age for this to happen.
